The Nokia N97 wasn’t as near as cool as the Finnish-based company thought it would be, and they realized this a couple of months ago when they announced that Firmware v2.0 is on the way. Well, Nokia has just released the Nokia N97 Firmware 2.0 and there are some pretty cool new features available for all of you who decided to pay hundreds of bucks on this mediocre smartphone. If you want to upgrade to Nokia N97 2.0 then you have to download the latest Nokia Software Updater version first.
Nokia N97 Firmware 2.0 comes packed with kinetic scrolling, bug fixes, security fixes, and speed enhancements. According to some early adopters, the N97 will no longer crash when taking calls and this is probably the most welcome addition. Among the updates users can also find Ovi Maps 3.1 with 3–D maps, Nokia e-mail, Ovi Contacts, Ovi Store, improved memory and battery performance, and Vlingo.
If you upgraded your Nokia N97 then let us know how your smartphone works now. Oh, and there are no words about an update for the Nokia 5800. Yet…
