Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview Download

Microsoft just announced that it is ready the first developers preview of its next browserInternet Explorer 9. The preview is usable, but at the same time it is designed for developers and not for end users. Note that IE9 Platform Preview is not the fullInternet Explorer browser.

This early version is available on
IE Test Drive for anyone who wants it can download and try at home. The site also has plenty of demos available to be experimenting with the new browser.

It is so young that does not even have the elements of the IE 9 user interface, so don’t expect much in that regard. What we may be experiencing is the new JavaScript engine (code named “Chakra”) and support for CSS3 and HTML5 (finally!)
Internet Explorer 8 was a big step in relation to its earlier versions and so we do expect much from Internet Explorer 9. Not just in the interface improvements of the browser but also in the implementation of standards and improved interoperability. For example, it should have better Tab Management feature. Let’s see what all expectations are satisfied with the final version of IE 9.
