Nokia's 41-megapixel PureView 808 debuts in India for Rs. 33,899

After a long wait, Nokia has finally announced its camera phone PureView 808 today in India. It has been priced at Rs. 33,899 (Best Buy) and will reach the market starting today.
Announced earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress, Nokia revealed the smartphone at a press event in New Delhi.
With its 41 megapixel camera, the PureView is ready to revolutionise smartphone imaging in the country. The camera captures image data form seven adjacent pixels and collapses them into one, resulting in a 5 megapixel image of crystal clear quality. It includes Carl Zeiss optics, and a dual flash (Xenon and LED).
Video recording is no setback either, with the option of recording full HD 1080p at 30fps, not to mention zoom up to 6x. The smartphone also offers 5.1 channel Dolby Digital surround sound.
In terms of technical details and specifications, The PureView has a single-core 1.3 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM. It runs a Symbian Belle operating system and comes with a 4-inch AMOLED display with 640x360 resolution and curved Gorilla Glass. The phone also features NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, USB on the go and 16 GB of on-board storage.
